Do you know whether or not you are in compliance with all related Safety Legislation?
Do you know what information MUST be posted at your workplace?
Do your employees know their three RIGHTS under the Occupational Health and Safety Act?
Have you conducted training to all employees in the hazards of their work? (safe lifting, WHMIS, personal protective equipment, injury reporting, refusal to do unsafe work, pre-use inspections of equipment)
Is a workplace inspection conducted and documented every month?
Do you have an Emergency Evacuation plan in place for your work place?
Are you required to have a Joint Health and Safety Committee or representative? If so, are they trained as required by legislation?
Do you conduct accident investigations for every work related injury?
Does the management of your company have a Continuous Improvement Health and Safety plan in place?
If you can say YES to all of the above and have documentation to prove it, you are to be congratulated. Keep up the good work.
